Lipscomb’s largest and most in-depth piece of print collateral is the campus visit packet. Given to prospective families on daily visits and the bigger “Lipscomb Fridays”, it includes: guest namebadges, a personalized schedule for the day, their recruiter’s business card, and an 80-page booklet showcasing the campus.

Our primary goal for the booklet was to capture the experience of a campus visit in print form. Because tour routes changed according to the type of visit (and not every building is included), we landed on a building-by-building breakdown of campus. We split up that academic content with Student Life spreads—each with a fold-over panel to generate interaction (and make flipping through the book easier) and a Q&A with a student ambassador to put a face to these events.

For the folder itself, I wanted to make something that was: eye-catching, tactile, and easy to hold onto for an entire day. In addition to the inserts it’s packed with, any academic handouts a family may receive during the visit’s sessions were designed to fit neatly in the folder. I designed the original iteration of this packet in 2019, and it was used through the summer of 2022.

For this refresh, I focused on: updating content and photos, as well as introducing some quality-of-life upgrades to the folder slots to make for easier packet-stuffing. The final packet is a beautiful, comprehensive tool for a family’s visit and resource collection once they’ve returned home. For the last 5 years, every family that visited Lipscomb has received a version of this packet. Over the last 2 years, 3,500 prospective families received this one.
